Ansible Role: rundeckres

This role helps you to generate Rundeck node resource file in JSON/YAML format from Ansible inventory and facts.

It can generate tags for each node from groups defined in Ansible inventory, as well as other useful attributes including osArch, osName, ansibleDistribution, etc. from facts gathered by Ansible.

Example Playbook

rundeckres.yml (a playbook with 2 consecutive plays):

By running ansible-playbook with the files above, you can see:

• The first play generates rundeckres.json which is suitable for Rundeck's node resource in JSON/YAML.
• The second play installs it in a specific rundeck project.
